Pilgrim Church of St. Jan Nepomucký
Pilgrim church at Zelená hora in Žďár nad Sázavou is the peak work of the Czech Baroque-gothic style. The church was built according to the spiritual concept of the abbot V. Vejmluva by the architect Jan Santini in 1719-1722. The building is characteristic with repeated symbols of numbers and accidence. The church itself is designed as the five-pointed star which is the symbol of five dints of Christ and also five stars of the martyr Jan Nepomucký as well as the symbol of five V letters in the name of Václav Vejmluva.
