The majestic castle of Buchlov is located in the middle of the hills of Chřiby. In the early Middle Ages the castle protected the trade routes and the richly forested surrounding areas. The hunter´s court and hunting law are connected with the castle of Buchlov. Today it is a unique example of the residential quarters of the aristocracy from the Gothic and Renaissance periods. The Chapel of St. Barbara with the crypte of the castle owners is located on the neighbouring hill, which is about 1 km away.
