1st day

PRAGUE

Arrival to Prague – guided sightseeing tour: Prague Castle, Loretta Square, St.Vit Cathedral, Golden Lane, Malá Strana (probably the most romantic quarter in Prague). Charles Bridge, Old Town Hall which boasts the famous Astronomical Clock, Cathedral of Our Lady of Týn. Dinner and overnight in Milovy, in the centre of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands.

2nd day

ŽĎÁRSKÉ VRCHY (MOUNTAINS OF ŽĎÁR)

In the morning visit of Žďár nad Sázavou, chateau situated in the former Cistercian monastery from the 13th century and visit of the romanesque basilica of St. John of Nepomuk on Green Mountain.

In the afternoon hiking tour: Svratka – Čtyři palice – Křižánky – Devět skal(Nine rocks – the highest peak – 836 m) – Mílovy (approx. 18 km – 4,5 hours)

Dinner and overnight in Milovy

3rd day

ŽĎÁRSKĚ VRCHY (MOUNTAINS OF ŽĎÁR)

Active day in Vysočina – swimming, cycling, tennis, minigolf, fitness, massage, etc.

Dinner and overnight in Milovy.

4th day

PERNŠTEJN – PORTA COELI – ČERNÁ HORA

In the morning short walking tour: Mílovy – Blatiny – Sněžné (approxi 5 km – 1,5 hours)

on the back way to Brno short stay in Pernštejn castle, built in the 13th century, and in Předklášteří – visit of the Cistercian convent Porta Coeli dating from the beginning of the 13th century – very nice church portal with rich statuary decorations.Cistercian Order was established in 1233 by Queen Constance.

Visit of the Brewery Černá Hora (500 years old)- degustation, dinner in typical pub.

Overnight in Brno.

5th day

BRNO

In the morning guided sightseeing tour around the city centre of Brno - the Špilberk Castle, Old City Hall, Capuchin Tombs, New and Old Theatre, Cathedral of SS Peter and Paul, Art Nouveau Houses.

In the afternoon walking tours by the recreation zone of Brno Veverská Bítýška – Veveří (approx. 8 km – 2,5 hours)

Dinner and overnight in Brno.

6th day

VRANOV - ZNOJMO

In the morning visit of the chateau of Vranov – former royal residence.

Walking tour through the park and valley of Vranov: from chateu to Hamerské vrásy - Ledové sluje – Vranovská brána – Lesná (approx. 10 km—3hours)

Visit of the royal town of Znojmo, important centre of winegrowing area – castle, Romanesque Rotunda of S. Catherine, medieval walls, historical centre.

Visit of painted wine cellar in Šatov, dinner at the same place.

Overnight in Brno.

7th day

MORAVIAN KARST – KŘTINY - BRNO

Morning trip to the Moravian Karst including the visit of Punkevní Caves with the boat ride on the underground Punkva River, Macocha Abyss.

Walking tour: Macocha-Koňský spád-Amatérská jeskyně-Sloupsko-šošůvské jeskyně – Sloup (approx. 8 km – 2,5 hours)

In the afternoon visit of the village Křtiny with church which belonged to the former Premonstratensian monastery in Brno. The Church is a popular pilgrimage place since the Middle Ages and was restored by the project of the architect J. B. Santini. Free afternoon in Brno.

The dinner at the Old Post-Office – the place where Napoleon Bonaparte spent the night on the eve of this battle. Overnight in Brno.

8th day

PÁLAVA – LEDNICE – VALTICE – MIKULOV

In the morning hiking tour through Pálava hills: Klentnice – Děvín – Dolní Věstonice (approx. 2,5 hours)

Lednice visit of the neo-gothic chateau, strolling in its gardens with fluvial canals, old minaret and artificial castle ruins of Jan Castle. Free time for walking in the park of Lednice, 1,5 hours.

Wine testing in the wine library Vinum Bonum in Valtice chateau.

Visit of historical city Mikulov on the border with Austria, other centre of winegrowing area – Castle, Jewish cemetery and the town centre.

Dinner and overnight in Brno.

9th day

BESKYDY – ROŽNOV – PUSTEVNY

In the morning departure to Beskydy Mountains on the border with Slovakia. Stop in the picturesque town Rožnov pod Radhoštěm – visit of the skanzen with unique demonstration of traditional popular architecture of Valašsko region.

In the afternoon hiking tour Radhošť – Pustevny (approx. 4 km –1,5 hours)

10th day

BESKYDY

All day hiking tour along the border with Slovakia, peaks of Javorníky: Makovský průsmyk – sedlo Pod Lemešnou – Velký Javorník – Malý Javorník – Portáš – Nový Hrozenkov (approx. 27 km – 8 hours)

Dinner and overnight in Pustevny

11th day

LUHAČOVICE – BUCHLOV – BRNO

In the morning departure to Luhačovice spa with typical buildings of D. Jurkovič and picturesque surroundings, walking in the colonnades and drinking mineral springs water.

In the afternoon short walk in the chateau park of Buchlovice and stop in Buchlov, Middle Age castle hidden in the middle of deep forest.

Dinner and overnight in Brno.

12th day

TŘEBÍČ – TELČ

In the morning the visit of Třebíč and its Jewish area and the romanesque-gothic basilica St. Procopius (protected by UNESCO since 2003).

In the afternoon the visit of Telč - (historical renaissance town protected by UNESCO) – splendid chateau and renaissance square with arcades.

Dinner and overnight in Telč.

13th day
