1st day

VIENA – BRNO

Arrival to Viena – guided sightseeing tour around the city centre including Belveder, Opera theatre, cathedral Stephansdom, church of St. Peter, Hofburg, Parliament, City Hall.

Dinner and overnight in Brno.

2nd day

MORAVIAN KARST – SLAVKOV – BRNO

Morning trip to the Moravian Karst including the visit of Punkevní Caves with the boat ride on the underground Punkva River, Macocha Abyss.

walking tour: Macocha-Koňský spád-Amatérská jeskyně-Sloupsko-šošůvské jeskyně – Sloup (approx. 8 km – 2,5 hours)

In the afternoon visit of Slavkov (Austerlitz) where took place the famous Battle of Three Emperors in 1805. The dinner at the Old Post-Office – the place where Napoleon Bonaparte spent the night on the eve of this battle.

Overnight in Brno.

3rd day

TŘEBÍČ – TELČ

In the morning the visit of Třebíč and its Jewish area and the romanesque-gothic basilica St. Procopius (protected by UNESCO since 2003).

In the afternoon the visit of Telč - (historical renaissance town protected by UNESCO) – splendid chateau and renaissance square with arcades.

Dinner and overnight in Milovy, in the centre of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands.

4th day

ŽĎÁRSKĚ VRCHY (MOUNTAINS OF ŽĎÁR)

In the morning visit of Žďár nad Sázavou, chateau situated in the former Cistercian monastery from the 13th century and visit of the romanesque basilica of St. John of Nepomuk on Green Mountain.

In the afternoon hiking tour: Svratka – Čtyři palice – Křižánky – Devět skal – Mílovy (approx. 18 km – 4,5 hours)

Dinner and overnight in Milovy

5th day

TIŠNOV – ČERNÁ HORA - BRNO

In the morning short walking tour: Mílovy – Blatiny – Sněžné (approxi 5 km – 1,5 hours)

on the back way to Brno short stay in Předklášteří – visit of the Cistercian convent Porta Coeli, dating from the beginning of the 13th century – very nice church portal with rich statuary decorations.

Visit of the Brewery Černá Hora (500 years old)- degustation

Afternoon free time in Brno.

Dinner in typical pub Pegas. Overnight in Brno.

6th day

VRANOV - ZNOJMO

In the morning visit of the chateau of Vranov – former royal residence.

Walking tour through the parc and valley of Vranov: from chateu to Hamerské vrásy - Ledové sluje – Vranovská brána – Lesná (approx. 10 km—3hours)

Visit of the royal town of Znojmo – castle, Romanesque Rotunda of S. Catherine, medieval walls, historical centre.

Visit of painted wine cellar in Šatov, dinner at the same place.

Overnight in Brno.

7th day

MIKULOV – PÁLAVA

In the morning walking tour through Pálava hills: Klentnice – Děvín – Dolní Věstonice (approx. 2,5 hours)

Visit of historical city of Mikulov on the border with Austria – Jewish cemetery, castle and the town centre.

Dinner and overnight in Brno.

8th day

LEDNICE –VALTICE

Morning trip to the Southern Moravia to the Lednice-Valtice Area (region protected by UNESCO). In Lednice visit of the neo-gothic chateau, strolling in its gardens with fluvial canals, old minaret and artificial castle ruins of Jan Castle. Free time for walking in the park of Lednice, 1,5 hours. Continue to Valtice with short stays at various romantic buildings (Tři Gracie, Belveder, Rendez-vous).

Wine testing in the wine library Vinum Bonum in Valtice.

Dinner and overnight in Brno.

9th day

BRNO – VIENA

guided sightseeing tour around the city centre of Brno - the Špilberk Castle, Old City Hall, Capuchin Tombs, New and Old Theatre, Cathedral of SS Peter and Paul, Art Nouveau Houses, departure to Viena.
