On the plateau of Prace hill, where the battle of three emperors took place, the 26m high stone Chapel resembling a pyramid was built. The Peace Memorial is the remembrance of the fallen during the battle between soldieries of Napoleon, Alexander I. and František Josef I in 1805. This is also the ageless memento of all wars. Inspired by the Brno priest Prof. Alois Slovák, the Art-Nouveau monument was built between 1910-1912. The four valiant heroes, guarding the monument hold the coat-of-arms of Russia, Austria, France and Moravia. At the centre of the ground floor a marble slab covers the entrance to the underground ossuary, where the remains of the fallen, found in the area, are being placed.
